Frequently Asked Questions About Tattoos

What are your hours?

Each of our artists is an independent contractor and makes their own hours. We generally have artists at the shop Mon-Sat and on occasion some will work Sundays.

How much does it cost?

It depends on placement, size, style, and who is performing your tattoo, but our shop minimum is $80.

Pick your artist here. Send them an email to set up a consultation and they can go over cost estimates, design, and get you set up with your tattoo appointment from there.

Do I tip?

You are not required to tip on top of the cost of your tattoo but it is always appreciated! If would like to tip us, some clients like to tip in cash and others like to bring us homemade goodies/gifts! We love and appreciate all of it.

Can I bring my kids?

No, sorry! We love kids but we cannot have kids in our tattoo shop under any circumstances (even for a consultation). A tattoo shop is not a safe environment for children, the health department does not allow minors in tattoo shops fussy babies can disturb other artists and clients, and fidgety feet don’t mix well with tattooing. If you let your artist know in advance for a consultation that you are unable to find a sitter or don’t have someone watch your kiddo we can sometimes accommodate by doing the consultations early morning or later in the evening when the shop has less artists.

Can I bring a friend?

If you haven’t been to the shop before, the space is small and we all have big personalities. We welcome and love your friends to come for moral support if needed, but we prefer you keep it to one person. If the shop is really busy, your friend may be asked to hang out at the front of the shop.

How do I care for my new tattoo?

Remove bandage after 1-4 hrs and gently wash with UNSCENTED liquid anti-bacterial soap and hot water.

Pat dry and apply a THIN layer of tattoo ointment. Repeat 3-4 times a day for the next 2-3 days.

After 2-3 days, switch to UNSCENTED lotion and use 4-5 times a day until tattoo is healed.

Do NOT submerge your tattoo under water (ex:pools, oceans, baths, hot tubs, etc.) as well as avoid direct sunlight (no tanning) for the next 2-3 weeks. Do NOT pick, scratch, or peel your tattoo.

What should I bring to my appointment? What should I wear?

Eat before you come, wear loose, comfortable clothing, keeping in mind you’ll have to remove the garment covering the area you’ll be getting tattooed. Preferably wearing something black just in case ink gets on it.

Bring a state or Federal issued ID, your method of payment, and anything you want to keep yourself amused…movies, music, games, and headphones if you choose to use these items.

Does it hurt?

No. Yes. Ok, a little. Pain is different for everyone, and it depends on the size, placement, and style of tattoo being performed. Does it hurt? Yes. Can you get through it? Absolutely.

Will it fade?

Yes. Part of the beauty of tattooing is how it becomes more and more a part of you as you age. You can slow the effects of aging the same way you slow ALL effects of aging: moisturize, sunscreen, avoid friction and the sun.

Can I bring my own design?

Sure! Keep in mind that we have a staff of very dedicated, highly trained artists with their own set of skills and viewpoint. All of our work is drawn specifically for you, by one of our talented artists. So if you’ve just got a vague idea, or just a couple of pictures, we can work with that! We’ve used statues, vases, swathes of fabric and doodles to inspire tattoos, we speak your language.

How do I set an appointment?

Please choose which artist you’d like to work with on our page. All of our artists are independent contractors and take care of their own bookings. You can email them through their individual pages or hit em up personally on Instagram and they’ll help you directly. All of their booking timeframes and instructions can be found on their sections of this website. You can give us a call: (571) 347-7363 with additional questions or assistance. We’re also on Instagram to see examples of the artists’ work beyond their portfolios here, but do not accept inquiries on those platforms.

What if I need to cancel my appointment?

Please check out our deposit / cancellation policy for more information if you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment.

Can you fix my old tattoo?

Probably. Email us a picture and we can talk options.

Do you do nipple reconstruction, mastectomy scar cover-ups, top-surgery cover ups or general scar cover ups?

We do not do any nipple reconstruction. Most of our artists do have experience in covering scar tissue. Just be sure to check out portfolios to ensure you pick the artist whose work matches the style of tattoo you desire.

Do you do Cosmetic Tattoos?

We do not do any permanent eye make-up or lip make-up. We recommend you see a specialist in cosmetic tattooing for this process. We can also recommend some one we know.

Do you do Laser Removal?

No, but shoot us a picture and we might be able to help you out with going thru the laser process.

Do you do piercings?

No. Even though Facebook only allows us to label our business as a Tattoo and Piercing Shop we actually don’t do piercings. Sorry!

My appointment is coming up, when will I see a drawing?

All sketches will be drawn during your appointment time or drawn directly on the skin and will not be available for viewing before your scheduled appointment date. This ensures that the tattoo idea is fresh in the mind and can be adapted to fit the client’s body seamlessly.

Will tattoos make me more attractive?

Absolutely.
